István Martis joined Profession.hu in 2008, and has been the company's CEO since 2014. From 2017 to 2021 he was the member of the Board of Ringier Axel Springer Media AG and Head of the company's Central and Eastern European job portal portfolio. Over the years, Profession.hu has become a leading digital company in the Hungarian market - currently with 220 employees – providing a full range of recruitment solutions from job postings, to recruitment services – on every career level and in every region of the country. The company has won the "Best Workplace" award several times.
Prior to that, István spent nearly ten years in HR consulting, working in Hungary, Central and Eastern Europe and the United States - since 2005 in the team of Korn/Ferry International. He studied at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Eötvös Loránd University and at Johannes Kepler University in Austria, later at Aalto University and on IMD.
